Is it possibile to implement a tuner inside you great app?

The amp doesn't transmit the guitar sound to the app so it's not possible in that way. The other option is to use the phone mic. However, I will never reach the pitch detection quality of dedicated apps like Guitar tuna or boss tuner or others. I've tried several pitch detection libraries but they were so inaccurate that it was useless and I discarded the idea.
