Some materials of how this could look like
I would not show any avatar like GitHub is doing. But I would like to see the hashes. i.e. a mix of the two views would be good. Bonus if we can click on commits and this would go to GitHub and show the corresponding commit.
Some option to consider, clone the repo in a way to just get the history. Or use something like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27468029/how-to-get-git-log-from-a-repo-in-github-com
Then we can highlight commits which got verified on-chain.
