Hmm, that's not something I've ever heard of. Can you tell me what versions of rss2email, feedparser and html2text you are using? Are you sending HTML mails? So I'm clear, the URL is in the body of feed item/email?
Sorry that probably wasnt enough info to go on. Also thanks for helping.
I am using ubuntu 10.04 lts, without a desktop environment. Right now I dont seem to be able to find the right command to get version numbers for any of the programs. However I am fairly sure they're all pretty resent as I only set it up a month ago.
The emails arnt html, I view them on an android phone so a url is clickable without html. Yes the url is in the body of the email Heres a link to the rss.
It only has one entry which changes daily. I have rss2mail set to check for changes every half hour usung cron. You shoud be able to see that the raw rss has non of the errors that are in the email.
I have been unable to reproduce this using my current rss2email:
python 3.2.3 (default, Nov 7 2012, 11:17:27)
[GCC 4.5.4]
feedparser 5.1.2
html2text 3.200.3
Hi turbo dog. Great appication. I am using it to send me a google spreadsheet as an email everyday, for may work appointments. This was fine untill it seemed to start adding a "!" character towards the end on email. Might not sound like much but its making url links not work. Dont seem to be showing an errors. Wondering if this is a known issue, or maybe an issue with google? However the rss looks fine rued any other way. Heres an example.
, job_5: 12/14/2011 22:22:11 NAME sandells ADDRESS 41 village way wsey PHONE 0151 638 0834 PROBLEM tb no spin RECALL? DATE 15/12/2011 TIME pm aft 4 MA! in this example (and most of the time) the "!" appears part way through my map link making it not work. This is always in the last part of the email.
Any idea's?
