Haven't seen activity for quite some time now... what happened to this project?

I wonder, too. It is the basis for the Minecraftlike game Boundless, and that has also been in pre-alpha forever, with a copyright on their site footer dating back to 2014. That's usually a bad sign. The same people also used it for Polycraft though, which is a finished, fun game.

Yeah I think Turbulenz is dead.

However, from what I've seen in the typescript version, Turbulenz is still an excellent engine for WebGL. There are many algorithms that are currently not included in others engines such as Babylon.js, three.js like occlusion & portal culling... Moreover, I'm convinced the Technique entity and render groups were excellent ideas for a 3D engine.

I'm even wondering if Turbulenz is not the most advanced WebGL 3D engine as I write this, actually.

It would be awesome if they could put it on npm.

Seems like this has been dead since at least a year ago. I’m gonna fork and update this repo in an attempt to understand it.
