I have not heard from Sebastian (GrimSqueaker) for a while. He said he was starting a new Job a few months ago, so he might be away for a while longer.
Anyway I never got your email, sorry for raising an issue to get your attention.
I wanted to let you know the progress of my fork.
You can now put up the resolution to HD (1920x1080) on my Dev branch. There are a few issues with some of the icon coordinates, but it works. The frame rate is really slow, because it is a software render I have been working on multi-threading to speed up the render, but with limited success.
Anyway buddy, I know you are still working on RC2 still. I wanted to check in with what you are doing so we do not overlap. I think I last saw you were working on the level Editor?
My plan within the next few weeks is to:
1: Get a either the multi-threading render working smoothly or limit the resolution options via the Config.
2: Build a Launch menu to allow people to adjust the config options
3: Hopefully merge your changes from somewhere...
In the next few months:
Finally implement Open GL. I am going to get a book, it should not be to different from DirectX (I also have the Populus code you checked-in)
Any buddy, here is my email:
