Describe the bug
persistency file /var/lib/bmcd/bmcd.bin is not preserved across BMC reboots. This bug was first observed in the feature/linux_lts branch.
To Reproduce
edit some setting in the BMC-UI
login to the BMC.
execute /etc/init.d/S94bmcd restart
observe previous set setting is lost
Expected behavior
changed settings to be retained over reboots. (note that its expected behavior that changes will not survive power-cuts)
