Data Scientist and Research Software Engineer in Computer Vision and AI Machine Learning Specialist in Computer Vision and Bioimage Analysis What’s the difference between these jobs? Both jobs will work on cutting-edge scientific image and spatial 'omics data in the context of biomedical research at Human Technopole, AI4Life, EuroBioImaging, and the international bioimage analysis community. If you are not familiar with our community, you are clearly missing out on great science and a phenomenal spirit – we are trying to bring the computational sciences and the life sciences closer together in order to benefit from each other in many intriguing ways.. The data scientist and RSE job is more programming heavy and solution-oriented. We look for someone who gets a kick out of casting cutting-edge methods into usable and reusable software tools. The ML specialist is someone who develops new and modern AI solutions for scientific image data analysis problems that to date still slow the rate of scientific discovery. Your job will be to invent and publish, then hand over to the data science and RSE team (see above) to cater your new method to a broader group of users.

:loudspeaker: Join us for the upcoming session in our TRIC-DT Seminar Series: "Crafting Digital Twins: Computational Methods Across Environment, Health & Infrastructure" - How computational modeling can design clinical trials for patients who are not average :date: Date & Time: Monday, March 11th at 10:00 am GMT :round_pushpin: Format: Hybrid (on Zoom) :busts_in_silhouette: Speaker: Prof. Thomas E. Yankeelov, Oden Institute for Computational Engineering and Science :studio_microphone: Title: How computational modeling can design clinical trials for patients who are not average Thomas E. Yankeelov will delve into the development of tumor forecasting methods by integrating advanced imaging technologies with predictive models of tumor growth. His presentation will focus on calibrating mechanism-based mathematical models of tumor growth and treatment response with patient-specific MRI data, aiming to design personalized optimal therapeutic interventions for cancers of the breast, brain, and prostate. He will also dive into some technical considerations related to making personalized, mechanism-based digital twins a practical reality. :star2: Aim of TRIC-DT Seminars: Our seminar series serves as an interdisciplinary platform to discuss computational methods, algorithms, and models underpinning Digital Twin technology across diverse fields. Join us to cultivate a unified vocabulary and explore synergies within and beyond the TRIC-DT community. :pushpin: This is a hybrid event with limited in-person capacity. Please contact digitaltwins@turing.ac.uk if you would like to join in-person Looking forward to insightful discussions and meaningful exchanges! (edited)
