Hello.

Processor FX-8150 Zambezi. Bulldozer family.

I can confirm that the HTC switches on tpc works fine. But i have a question.
When the processor HTC worked, a flag is showed like 'true'. I want to know
when this flag will be set again as 'false' ?

Also, can someone explain the -altvid switch ?

-altvid <vid>
Sets the VID value to use when in Alternate VID mode on active node. Alternate VID mode is used when the processor is overheating, for example.

thx in advance

If I remember correctly, you can reset HTC status by reenabling HTC, that is,
using -htcenable switch.

Of course, rebooting the machine will have the same effect (not that I
recommend it,
just stating for the record).

Altvid does not apply to FX chips -- changing it has no effect on the system.
I'll see if it's supported on Family 15h models other than 00-0Fh and, if it
isn't,
remove -altvid code from Family 15h completely.

When CPU overheats (Tctl exceeds threshold temperature -- "HTC Limit
temperature"
from -htc) CPU is switched to P-state indicated by "HTC PState Limit" which
typically is a low-performance P-state.
CPU also signals the motherboard so it can take appropriate action (PROCHOT_L).

If these actions (entering lower performance P-state and signaling the board)
are
insufficient (critical cooling malfunction or something similar) and temperature
keeps rising, THERMTRIP signal is asserted which makes the board shut the system
down (completely).

Hope this helps!
