I have checked and found that there is a frequently noted bug in Safari which causes this. The hiding mechanism will work in Android because it uses Chrome. Your experience with landscape mode is a function of the dokuwiki template and has nothing to do with the tplmod plugin. The plugin simply operates within the template.
thanks, you are right also on an iMac Safari behaves different from Chrome and Firefox. I didn't notice before.
I've been checking to see if there's an alternate solution, but haven't had any success yet.
you hide the actions, right? As the new menu system doesn't allow to disable actions? I still see the urls in the source code and it looks like bots are still following those links.
You can't do anything about the underlying html but you can disable actions in Configuration Manager.
When I use my Android phone in portrait mode, it shows the mobile tools and only the options I allowed
But when I use my iPhone X in portrait mode the mobile tools shows all options, including the site tools like media manager. When I turn the iPhone to landscape mode the normal size website is shown (except for the sidebar) but the site tools are gone and only the correct page tools are shown.
