Tool to show connected VPN clients #2001

Following discussion on this forum thread it would be nice to be able to view currently connected clients.

As per subject it could be one (or more) of:

script - documenting process would be first step...
confconsole plugin - ideally create script first and leverage that via a confconsole plugin
webmin - again leverage script via webmin module?
webui - not sure if/where there is one (that is maintained)?
