The no sleep utility installed and runs on my MacBook Pro 13" without a
problem. However, when the lid is closed, although the computer does not
sleep, the front light does come on and for whatever reasons, the Apple
Software Update utility stops downloading. See attached performance monitor
graph. The dead region is with the lid closed. Note that although the
communication between Software Update and the server is really uneven, the red
line (i.e. number of packets) drops to zero when the lid is closed but is
non-zero otherwise.
Since this is my primary use case (i.e. to allow maintenance to happen without
the computer being open), it would be fantastic if no sleep could be configured
to allow updates to continue with the lid closed.
