I can confirm that there seems to be a Tusky-related problem here.
Also having this happen with ntfy.sh

If you would like to provide information to help debug this issue install Pachli Current (https://pachli.app/download/#pachli-current).
Pachli's notification code is still very similar to Tusky's, and the latest release of Pachli Current shows (on the "About" screen) a lot of additional information about how notifications are being fetched, and why a particular method was chosen.
https://pachli.app/pachli/2024/02/17/debugging-notifications.html explains how to use this feature to provide bug reports that contain the necessary information.
Because the notification code in the apps is still very similar those reports (and any fixes in Pachli) are very likely to be applicable to Tusky too, so both sets of users will benefit.
Still happening. No matter what settings, all my notifications get grouped into giant blocks once or twice a day, so I'll get a flood of notifications from the last several hours
Tusky 25.2

I haven't seen a single notifications for a long time now.. Perhaps a year or so?
I would like to switch to Pachli, which seems to be working fine, but I can't stand the white theme and the black themes. :(
Tusky 26.2 (F-droid) Android 15 (Grapheneos) Google Pixel 7a
Still not working
I have noticed two things:
I tried using unified push to get push notifications with the app, but did not receive anything through Tusky. It does not seem to be an issue with unified push itself since the UP example app as well as SubwaTooter both work fine.
I have provided some information below, but I'm not really sure what else may be required. If some other information is required to make things easier please let me know.
Note: I use the ntfy android app for the unified push, it uses the default ntfy.sh server. I also confirmed that Tusky is registered with it.
