Option to Enable Biometric/PIN Login is not available #3694

Bug in mobile app Some users are reporting that the option to enable the new Biometric/PIN login is not displayed in their Login Menu.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Go to Settings > Login
Credentials Encryption Mode is not listed

Expected behavior Credentials Encryption Mode should be listed.

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

Device: Pixel 2, Samsung Galaxy S10, Poco F1
OS: Android 11, Android 10
Version: Tutanota 3.89.20, 3.89.21, 3.89.25

Not fixed in version 3.89.25 (Android 12, Pixel 4a 5g).

A user reported that the feature is not available when Tutanota is installed from the F-Droid store. However, when he uninstalled the app and re-installed from the play store, it became available (both 3.89.26).

Tried it too to replace the F-Droid version by the Play store one (3.89.25 on Android 12, Pixel 4a 5g): the biometric options are not available.

Another user reported the following after reinstalling through Google Play Store:

App gelöscht
App über den Google Play Store installiert 2FA funktioniert Fingerabdruck geht nicht v. 3.89.25.
App wieder gelöscht
App über F-Droid installiert jetzt funktioniert die 2FA ohne Probleme, Fingerabdruck geht nicht v. 3.89.25.

Same here. Not able to set pin# on tutaota. Will it work if installed through the Aurora store? I have a degoogled pixel 4xl. If I uninstall, will I loose my emails?

Tested on Android 11 and 12. Version number 3.98.4 from both Google Play Store and F-Droid.

If a user chooses to store credentials, the entry "Credential encryption mode" is always shown
- However if the phone doesn't have screen lock enabled, credential encryption mode shows the option "Automatic" only
The only case where "Credential encryption mode" is not available is when you login without choosing to store credentials, which is the expected behavior.

Screen lock is activated in phone settings.

With 3.98.4 (from F-Droid): "Credentials encryption mode" lets me choose biometrics ("system password or biometrics" or "biometrics only"). I can login with fingerprint.
