Hi! We have tried to reproduce it but without success so far. It must be that we either miss something or that something about your environment is different.
Would you mind creating such an email and then exporting it and sending it to us at support@tutao.de. Please mention that we asked for it in this issue.
2024-11-07-20h35m27s-Test email for Tuta indentation issue.eml.zip
here you go @charlag , I have put the eml into a zip file to be able to upload here. Thanks for looking into it!
Describe the bug I have noticed this over the last few weeks. Every time I indent text in an email (done by pressing cmd+] or ctrl+]), in my sent folder and the receiving folder on the other end, the email is rendered with having 3 dots replacing the entire indented text!
You can click the 3 dots button at the bottom of the email in the sent folder which will expand this text the same way it does for previous emails quoted below in the chain. But receivers on the other end will just see 3 dots and have no way of knowing there's additional text there.
This has already caused problems because I had no clue that half my emails are being rendered wrong.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior It should just treat text indentations as normal formatting, like bold, underline, lists etc, and just render it the same way it looks when typed out!
