No GPUs Detected #398

Closed Marekkon5 closed 6 years ago

Edit: After MegaMiner 5.2 update no AMD GPUs Detected at all. In 5.1 version with default config all ok, but in 5.2 and later no AMD gpus found.

I have the same problem and can't fix it, So I use 5.1, even if it crashes when on Auto, I just mine Zcash and works fine with it, I use a 280x

You might try to reinstall the video driver and see if it works or create a "gandalf win 10 pe may 2018 iso" to USB using rufus or winTOusb or win 10 control panel recover on USB and then remove the boot.wim / other files and dump the iso file content to the usb, any of this that works for you and have ATI / Nvidia drivers active, then boot from USB and run megaminer form usb or from hard drive and see if it gives the same errors.

Also see if 6.2.1 is better than 5.1 / 5.2 you are using.

You can also try to use any of the 8 other similar to MegaMiner programs and see if they pick up the card to isolate where the error comes in.

Alternative is to extract the .zip file to another location and run it, if this new copy works then see what files was modified and look for the error in that file.

Best option is to download 6.2.1 and test with default files, then once you know this is good, edit config with ALGO addresses and Algo's per hardware to mine and use that.

You can copy over the /bin folder content even if outdated compared to 6.2.1 latest miner downloads, same for stats to speed up / skip new benchmarks.
