Step 1 Changes: Remove Project Description, add Funder and Grant number #325

Changes

  1. In Step 1 remove the “Project description” field under “Input project manually”. Rationale: the content from the field does not export to the template and is not required by the funders.
  2. In place of the field, add a free text field for “Funder” and a free text field for “Grant number” Neither should be required. This information should go into the “Funder, funding programme, grant number” section of the Project Details table in the Science Europe template. Under the FWF grant information in the first table. For the HE template, it should go in the field for the grant number in the footer of the cover page and in the Copyright Notice (see screenshot) Consider adding a dropdown menu for the funder (FWF, EU – Horizon Europe, Other) to automatically choose the correct template
  3. The name of “Update project” should be changed to “Project name”; “Update acronym” should be changed to “Project acronym”. Screenshot Image Image Image

Project description input should not be removed, since then we lose compatibility with the RDA-DMP-COMMON-STANDARD

Based on the https://github.com/RDA-DMP-Common/RDA-DMP-Common-Standard?tab=readme-ov-file#properties-in-funding , the funder needs a type, and is the same situation for the grand, maybe we should add two drop down options to select the type of each of them

The project description field will not be removed due to its need as part of the RDA DMP Common Standard as stated by Valentin. However, further guidance/explanation will be provided to the user in a separate issue.
