Currently next and pause(in gui) only works if you use the common play framework and not when using the "from jelly fin" intent.

Ideally both should behave the same way.

With my new improved implementation of the "what's playing" intent. The GUI is also not working for songs played via the Common Play framework.

This is because the meta data is fetched from Jellyfin instead of the track when a match is found. We need a way to inform the Common Play framework of this meta data so that it shows up on the GUI.

Not a priority as mycroft is a smart speaker, screen optional.
