Issues with country code when first setting up #128

Open soundslikeluke opened 3 years ago

soundslikeluke commented 3 years ago

Describe the bug A clear and concise description of what the bug is. The issue I had was the documentation said to use the region I use on the app which is Australia so +61 but it kept showing an error. The only thing that worked was having Europes country code +44 even though my app uses Australia from the drop down menu.

Expected behavior I should be able to put Australia as my country code not Europe.

@soundslikeluke The country code is the country code when you login in SmartLife or Tuya Smart app.

I know that but my country on the app is Australia but in the app Australias country code didn't work

@sanshengshui Can you provide your account and login logs? https://github.com/tuya/tuya-home-assistant/wiki/How-to-Get-the-Log

I can't even create a project the in the Tuya Cloud hub - and I suspect it is because the availability regions don't cover Australia. The error in the dashboard is not in English, so although I suspect it's due to a mismatch between regions and my location I can't be 100% sure

@dgaust have you been able to get this working in AU?

dgaust commented 2 years ago

Yes, I should probably have come back and noted it here. It means 'Membership Expired' so need to renew the basic membership.

I think it was from the ‘Projects’ menu, where it says “My Product TRIAL EDITION”, you click on ‘trial edition’ and should be able to ‘renew’ from there.
