Feit Electric Support #161

Does this integration work with feit electric branded devices that have been paired to that app? If so any special instructions?

tsutsuku commented 3 years ago

All PBT (Powered by Tuya) Devices are supported. No special instructions need.

travisghansen commented 3 years ago

Ok, I’ll give it a try and report findings here I suppose.

meimeiyi commented 3 years ago

Hi it appears that the Feit Electric dimmer switches (sold at Costco) cannot be detected thus added to HA. All my other Tuya devices (various LED lights, strips and switches) were detected but these.

travisghansen commented 3 years ago

I haven’t had a chance to test yet myself. Are the other working devices feit electric?

meimeiyi commented 3 years ago

No none is from Feit.

jesse-schein commented 2 years ago

My feit bulbs from costco work. I'm a developer and Ive created a custom integration before, I can try to add the feit dimmer.

jesse-schein commented 2 years ago

I was able to get the feit dimmers to work. It was a few lines of code. To get the other brand dimmer switches to work requires one to know all the category codes.

meimeiyi commented 2 years ago

Wow cool!! Jesse do you mind sharing your code or submit it so we all can get it in the next update? Thank you so much!

travisghansen commented 2 years ago

Just getting around to doing this...I'm not seeing the appropriate place in the feit electric ios app to scan the qr code generated from the 'add app account' button. What am I missing?

freaksdotcom commented 2 years ago

The Feit wall dimmer and Feit colored lights are supported by the IoT platform, tuya-iot-python-sdk, and tuya-connector-python.

If you add the devices via the Smart Life app they should show up in the Tuya integration.
