Tuya LED Strip doesn't remember mode #280

I have some Tuya LEDs set to Audio mode. when I control on/off state though the Tuya app, it remember the mode. If I turn them on and off via HomeKit, they always default to a static color.

I have some other Tuya LEDs also configured via HomeKit but set to pulse/blink red and when I turn them on via HomeKit, they retain the mode.

any ideas why the audio mode doesn't remain when controlled via HomeKit?
