Latitude-esque Friend Finding #1304

There is great potential for team sports, social transport, and more here. In
my case, I have always wanted an App which would allow me to find my cycling
friends while I am riding. Cyclists usually have a very close average speed,
and travel long distances, which makes finding friends very difficult. You also
frequently cannot sacrifice even a finger to fiddle with an application. It
would be an amazing feature to see my friends on my map while maintaining the
My Tracks super-cyclocomputer interface. There have been many rides where I
have arrived a few minutes late on a crappy day and wondered if I was the only
one who showed up, or if I had just missed everyone. Looking down cross streets
in the cold/wet/windy with the prospect of chasing a non-existent group is a
hard blow to motivation. =)

Perhaps this could be satisfied with the combination of map layers, and maybe a
Latitude API.

A bonus would be the inclusion of proximity associated Latitude friend
suggestions, and an additional schema entry for a vibration sensor to label bad
roads, or detect accidents.

Thank you everyone, this is great and versatile application. Let me know if I
can help. I have a little bit of experience, and a few spare machines to test
on. I'll also check the other requests to see if I can help there.

To do this, we probably need to implement two features.

1. real-time track sharing (so your friends can share their current progress
with you)
2. overlay multiple tracks (so you can record your track while seeing your
friends'tracks)

There are already feature requests for these. We will look into them.
