Could not read available tasks #79

When I run Grunt from the ST3 quick panel an error shows "Could not read available tasks" - SublimeGrunt: JSON is malformed. The grunt works fine on the command line, it's the gruntfile from ng boilerplate. I know this issue occurred before and was solved, but I believe not entirely.
