PWI plugin no longer works

Every website we have used this plugin on no longer works. Has there been a 
change with Google within the last 2 days that has blocked outside access? What 
steps are necessary to remedy this?

Even the project demos are broken.

I also see this issue. It looks like it is Chrome related: the website I 
maintain do load in Firefox and IE. When looking at the Javascript console in 
Chrome it reports:
Refused to execute script from 
'http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/api/user/<<blahblah>>' because its MIME 
type ('text/html') is not executable, and strict MIME type checking is enabled.

Issue has been reported to Google in the Google Picasa Web Albums API forum 
(https://groups.google.com/d/topic/google-picasa-data-api/SugUj5OR64k/discussion
) after investigation, and the reply from someone from Google:

I believe we found an authentication issue that prevents proper redirect on 
reauthentication, which we should be pushing out shortly. 

Please check again to see if the issue still appears.
