0) Create the compare method
1) Created extended sorter classes
2) Create links to the plugin XML 

This is a feature.

I've applied the (modified) patch and made all necessary changes to properly 
integrate it, see git head. 
The changes will be part of the next release, whenever it will happen :-)

That's great news as the patch was, at best, only a rough sketch. Thanks for
