State of this repo #90

Hi! I was working on updating this method in cf-xarray to handle conversion between cf attributes and shapely objects and just learned about this repo! It looks really clean and well structured so I was just wondering if there is any interest in reviving it or if I should take ideas and keep building functionality into cf-xarray.

For context the goal of this work is to support serializing shapely objects to zarr: https://github.com/xarray-contrib/xvec/issues/48

Hello @jsignell, I can't speak for the other contributors, but I don't have the bandwidth to revive this repo currently. I hope you find some useful bits you can utilize!
