OpenVBX - Flow Stops at Voicemail #423

Hi,

I'm new to OpenVBX and assisting my church with providing calling options. I have encountered an issue with one of the steps in a flow on OpenVBX when we use an option to dial a number to be directed to someones phone number. For some reason, if there is no answer the call hangs up without going to the persons voicemail even though the phone number is defined and rings to the number provided.

We see that there is an option in the flow for a scenario "If nobody answers..." but we'd like for the call to simply get transferred to the persons' voicemail instead of capturing a voicemail through OpenVBX. At this time we have the option under "If nobody answers..." undefined, hoping that it will just pick up on the voicemail of the number we define but that does not seem to be the case.

Does anyone have any recommendations or a fix for this?

I have the exact same issue and I came across your question while looking for an answer. Did you find a solution?

I found a solution but it's probably not the best one. Considering it was a simple redirect / transfer, I ended up doing it directly in Twilio by following the instructions here: https://support.twilio.com/hc/en-us/articles/223179908-Setting-up-call-forwarding#twimlbin

Hey, thanks for the reply. I still had not found a solution yet. I did reach out to Twilio support on this and still trying to work through a resolution. I have been using VBX to setup everything and not managing much through the twilio console, so I was hoping there would just be a simple fix I was overlooking.

I'll try that solution you recommended in the link and let you know if there is another option directly in VBX.
