This branch is based off of #47, review and land that first.

-twtrunk build is red at the time of writing this comment due to a regression in Twisted trunk.

The Twisted trunk regression is fixed, so all the builds are green now. I'm slightly unhappy with the behaviour of "allowed to fail" Travis builders since you'll never see the failure unless you click through to Travis, but I don't think there's any point in having our build broken until Twisted is fixed every time.

Then again, Twisted has pretty strong policies around regressions and breakage, and everyone around here is likely to have Twisted commit access as well, so perhaps I should revert that change?
