Brief description

has a table of how you can test bits in extensions.

It suggests that you can, test a real bits sku and not have bits used. It works for a "in development" sku, but not for a "real" sku.

How to reproduce

Install a bits enabled extension to a non affiliate channel
Load up the non affiliate channel, as the same user as the channel
Attempt to use bits on a "real" Bits Sku (one that is marked as not in development:

Where you the user, also has enough bits to perform the action. (In this case I have 1000 and the item costs 500)
The Result is "500 internal server error" and a "error has occured" dialog

Expected behavior

Additional context or questions

Previously, this functionality was only available with product SKUs in development. For more details, you can refer to the documentation

Implies that it works with any kind of sku/development/not in development.
