Ratings Data is out of Order on Data Download Page #226

Open rafalkonopka opened 1 month ago

Describe the bug The Ratings Data files on the Download Data page are linked in incorrect order. For example Rating Data File #2 is actually linked to Data file ratings-00006.tsv

See the attached table below for the mapping between data file names and the files they're actually linked to:

  1. File no. 1 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00000.tsv (correct)
  2. File no. 2 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00006.tsv (incorrect)
  3. File no. 3 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00002.tsv (incorrect)
  4. File no. 4 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00001.tsv (incorrect)
  5. File no. 5 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00007.tsv (incorrect)
  6. File no. 6 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00003.tsv (incorrect)
  7. File no. 7 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00005.tsv (incorrect)
  8. File no. 8 of 8 --> linked to ratings-00004.tsv (incorrect)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to the Download Data Page
  2. Click on the download link for File 8 out of 8.
  3. The downloaded file won;t have the most current rating values. Instead it will show ratings from 2023 because it;s only file 4/8

Expected behavior The files will be linked in chronological order corresponding to the same filename shown on the download page. Downloading the highest numbered file should provide the most recently entered ratings,

Thanks for pointing this out! We currently make no guarantee that the ratings are in chronological order but we may try to do this in the future. Will treat it as a feature request, not bug report.

Whether the files are in chronological order is a nice to have. However, the fact that file names aren’t matched up to the corresponding file download is a bug. No matter what order the files are listed in, the file download link needs to match the actual title next to the file.
