It was raised to my attention that the collection dates of certain strains from the GISAID database are mislabeled. For example, EPI_ISL_480757 was labeled as 2020-12-06. To refrain from making our own interpretations regarding what is the true collection date, I suggest we filter out all these strains based on one simple criterion: The collection date has to be prior to today. I suggest that we still show these strains in the datatable, but their collection date can be shown as "unavailable" or something like that.
We will keep syncing with GISAID and if they fix it in the future, the fix will also be reflected in our database.
Let me know what you think. Thanks~
