A timezone for the whole site doesn't really make sense, because meetings can take place in different timezones. Setting the timezone per event? But then that would need to be loaded for any update posted for it. Maybe it's better to have user time zones. Users know in which timezone they are, and can change it accordingly. Then the time is correct for the people seeing it at the meeting.
getting it in in a convinient form (for example based on time of the OS), turn it into UTC and then display it in the time that we think the user is looking at.
How to set the timezone for updates? Does it matter?
