In order to continue to support development and make claw more accessible to more people we should switch to a freemium model

Hi, I'm the admin of Lobsters. We've talked in the chat room a bit about this project, which you didn't mention was a commercial product. Three more things:

It's your choice to write a stripped down browser and your users' choice to purchase it, but it is flatly unacceptable to attempt to monetize Lobsters by appearing to be an official app.

@pushcx These all sound like reasonable. Thank you for reaching out.

The app store title and subtitle are each limited to 30 characters. Do you have a specific suggestion? Title: "claw: A Lobsters Reader" Subtitle: "An Unofficial Lobsters Reader"?

I'll make a ticket for your second suggestion.

Title. It looks like you're testing interactive features like comment posting, so "Reader" is becoming inaccurate. Perhaps "claw: Unofficial Lobsters App" might work.

A previous time someone attempted to make money off the site I wrote:

When [Lobsters] is sending attention to celebrate someone advancing the state of our understanding or sharing what they’ve created, it’s the internet at its best as gift economy. Unfortunately, some people see the site as a handful of rubes naively standing around a money fountain, so why not try to take a taste?

An official-looking, commerical app making money off the site is similarly inappropriate and exploitative. Don't run your business at our expense like this.

The test comments were purely for testing layout as longer threads and some of the markdown can get tricky. The application is still a "reader" until an official API is available.

I would hope you wouldn't group an application to view Lobsters in the same group as content markets and spammers.

I tried PMing you on IRC but I'm not sure if you got it as I wasn't originally registered.
