Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera Support

Hi,

I have been able to have most of functionalities working on this device (Arlo Essential Outdoor Camera, VMC2050Aer1.4 hardware).

One of the few things that do not work is the snapshot functionality. As motion is detected, an old snapshot is returned instead of a "fresh" one.

Happy to give you access to the camera for you to investigate it, if you want.

There are 2 pieces here:

• I need to add support for that camera, there are pieces of functionality that change depending on the camera type, things like do we ping the base station to check its availability
• But snapshot isn't one of them... Well, it's not usually one of them. See if anything in here helps

But if you don't mind sharing the camera with me that would be great, I can get the support added relatively quickly.

Actually, snapshots seem to work, snapshots to files seems to be the problem.

Happy to share the camera with you, what email address should I share it with?

Can you try the latest build?

With latest Build my VMc2050A have high battery usage... 1% every 15 Minutes. After disabling it, it is working again. But why with latest build?
