At first, I thought it was a bug, but it seems like it's just a missing feature. Either way, I’d like to request it here.
I use virtual lights for two purposes:
To control a group of physical light bulbs together via a virtual light.
As a template where I set default values for brightness, color, and temperature when the lights are turned on. For example, in the evening, I only need to adjust the template’s brightness to dim all my lights at once.
I noticed that devices have persistence since V0.8, but it only affects the light’s state (on/off). It doesn’t preserve the light’s color settings. After rebooting Home Assistant (HA), the color settings from the templates are lost. My request is to have the entity’s attributes (like color and brightness) restored after a reboot.
Here are example pictures:
Untouched entity.
Changed color to pink and adjusted brightness.
After a reboot.
As a workaround, I use multiple input number helpers to store the color, brightness, and temperature, but it would be more intuitive to have this functionality built into the virtual entity itself.

Thanks for all your hard work!
