Blur Python instal causing errors/issues #78

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Trying to run test Hello World Ui script from location specified in:
c:/blur/dev/offline/code/python/scripts/test.py
There is already a test.py script in that location, so I named mine myTest.py
as the contents in the file that is already in the folder does not match what I
was asked to save it as.

2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected a UI made from the blur dialog functionality. Instead, an error was
produced(see attached image)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Windows 7 64 bit
BlurOffline_python27_2013-12-05_install_15445_64

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the following installed:

Max 2011 64 bit
Max 2014 64 bit
Python 2.7.4 64 bit
PyWin32 Version 218
PyQt4 version 4.10.2
PySide version 1.1.2
Google Chrome
Java version 7 update 51
ShotgunBrowser plugin
BlurOffline_python27_2013-12-05_install_15445_64

I tested each of the installs above and had no issue. When I installed the Blur
plugin, it was ok until I tried to use the logger in Max 2011, which did
nothing. When I tried it in Max 2014, the logger came up and I was able to
create some max objects using python.

I ran the myTest.py(as stated above) and received an error(attached)

I also received an error when trying to access Max via Shotgun, but this may
not be answrable on this page. (also attached)

Continuing to investigate possible solutions
