install.sh & remote_install.sh

Issue to be resolved Install script needs to be updated to do the following:

Use pip requirements.txt for installing python packages -- this allows better version management and can help with forcing upgrades when needed
add a switch to remote install script to allow pointing to a specific branch to make installing development versions easier during testing
