OpenWrt Brook page not loading #839

Closed Docop2 closed 2 years ago

Docop2 commented 3 years ago

Hi so on a pretty fresh owrt 19.07.7 version, running in esxi as virtual. on an intel pc. So i first install the brook-linux-amd64.ipk Sys / Software - update list. i see a required dependencies, so i install ; ca-certificates Upload package: browse- select the ..amd64.ipk

i got the message: Installing brook (20210601) to root... Configuring brook.

Then the Brook menu is at the top. But when you click on it, it's only a whole white screen and message: Back to OpenWrt. when clicking on it, it put you back at the same previous page you were before. So is it the proper package to install or ? Also, i don't see it in process or startup. thanks

txthinking commented 3 years ago

Read the document first. https://txthinking.github.io/brook/#/brook-tproxy-gui And only be tested on official OpenWrt

mikelxk commented 3 years ago

I've had the same problem. The reason is the arch and the endianness for brook is not correct. Try run brook on the command line and make sure it's outputting a valid output.

txthinking commented 3 years ago

Yes, I don't know how the arch of go and openwrt correspond, so I write any for each ipk

Looks like this is the list via dpkg-architecture -L

Hi so don't know if those prj could give some idea : https://github.com/koshev-msk/luci-app-mmconfig https://github.com/tty228/luci-app-serverchan https://github.com/koshev-msk/luci-app-smstools3 and the https://github.com/shadowsocks/luci-app-shadowsocks

Also, the dev at owrt are quite active as they just lounch the ver. 21.02-rc2 and their dev forum could be a place to pin point the issues perhaps. Hope that could help

Docop2 commented 3 years ago

I install the rc3 and put a lot of other package and did try the brook again. Basically, while it do install and all ca-cert.. are present. I don't see any 'brook' config file . not in etc, not in etc/config. Maybe it's installing to the wrong place and can't be load after ? usr/bin/brook can't be alone. Because it's neither into the processes / startup.

txthinking commented 3 years ago

It works well on my x86 official openwrt. both cli and ipk.

You can use cli first, it is easy to find the problems encountered, and read the document.

I install lastest owrt Rc4. previous version was only the -efi available, but back to normal combine.gz with rc4 Yess it now fully work . Here step: opkg update opkg install openvpn ca-certificates openssl-util ca-bundle coreutils-nohup iptables-mod-tproxy restart upload le Brook ipk file * c : brook_linux_amd64.ipk Refresh page.

Ntwk / dhcp-DNS / GenSetting - DNS forwardings : 127.0.0.1#5353

-Firefox v.90... don't understand why. but v90 fully show the log page, but if connection / setting server was made into another browser : if you go back to edit connection or disconnect or just see what server it is : the server field and password are blank. The dns section is showing ok, but server is blank. But brook do work system wide, all great, no sock5 needed.

But more usefull question: In the system log, is it possible to get the status of Brook ? Like a openvpn style or something ?
