Hi guys,
Apparently this guy is working on a solution for most intel wifi drivers (5100
series included). According to him (read on his blog) we can expect a working
kext in a couple of months.
Blog: http://projectcamphor.mercurysquad.com/
Facebook page for more frequent updates:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/mercurysquad/130654692121

So just be patient. we waited more than a year, im sure we can hold on for a
few more months :)

Hi guys! That's great news! And yes, I'm happy to wait a little longer for a
working kext for the 5100 AGN! Although, if people are inpatient I guess they
could try a WiFi Adapters like the Dynamode WL-700N-MINI, D-LINK 54M DWL-G122
or DLink DWA-643 Xtreme N ExpressCard? I have considered these myself, but not
sure how well they work. If anyone has any experience with any Wifi adapters
that work, please share:)

I'm not sure if this is beating a dead horse here, but I tried the
"PROSet/Wireless 3945, 4965, 5150, 5350, 6x00, 6x50, 1000 OS X 10.5" and got
the result you see in the image. it detected my intel wireless 5100, but thats
where it freezes. hopefully i'm bringing something to the table here.

hopeless.... is build driver for osx86 too difficult than windows or linux??
actually the problem is on datasheet from 5100agn that not been publish by
intel, maybe..

or there are other ways to get device work on osx86 like by crossover that can
emulate windows software to work on osx like a charm..?

@anrmachine
seems it's possible with Hardware virtualization and vmware, somebody take a
try?
I'm on Mobility 3650 right now... seems AMD and Apple doesn't play well
together.

Actually there're working drivers under Ubuntu, but not sure with BSD systems,
seems even FreeBSD 8.0-BETA still having issues with the card.

Of the much modifing i could get the beta kext into Snow Leopard to

it from here:http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?3dl18ot3kbbigyc
-3 Scroll down to Root->IOKitPersinalities->iwi4965(of the iwi4965
kext)/iwifi(of the iwifi kext)->IOPCIMatch
-4 Type in the Value box your correct code it could be e.g. 0x42378086 or
0x42328086 or 0x42338086
-5 Save the both info.plists and install them with Kext Helper than klick the
Advanced box.Then click Kext Persission.Than click to run.Restart Now !
