The only way would be the whole file mode? Otherwise only one kind of shloka at a time?

https://sanskritmetres.appspot.com/identify has No metre recognized. Same as yours.

But http://sanskritmetres.appspot.com/fulltext is much simpler to use, still

I was using http://sanskritmetres.appspot.com/fulltext for printing a Bhartrihari book and found 8 mistakes thanks to this script. With your script as it is now I could not do it at the same speed of editing work.

Again, if you like Shreevatsa's tool, use it. Skrutable can do the job if used more charitably. I'll modify the instructions to be more clear about the limitation to single-verse input in the interface. And yes, the batch mode is "one verse per line", see https://www.skrutable.info/tutorial.
