can't boot from the drive in the WWAN slot #148

NOTE: This issue has been resolved, please see the final comment

Original issue: I wanted to install a second drive in the WWAN slot for dual boot, so I followed the "Post Installation" guide, bought a WDC SN520 NVMe and plugged it into the WWAN slot. But after I have configured EFI partition and correct boot file on SN520, I still can't see it in the F12 option of BIOS. Even if I used the Windows installer to automatically configure the EFI of if, the BIOS could not recognize and boot from it. I can only see my original NVMe drive and my USB. Do I need to change any BIOS option or modify BIOS? Please help me, thank you very much. My hardware: i7-8550U @ 1.80GHz 16GB of RAM LENSE30512GMSP34MEAT3TA ( 512GB ) (Original drive) WDC PC SN520 SDAPMUW-256G-1101 ( 256GB ) (at WWAN slot)

It is OK now. The reason for the problem just now may be that there is a mistake when I use the live USB for quick installation. When I run a vanilla installation using the ISO image, it (I tried Windows and Deepin Linux) can create the boot entry to UEFI correctly, although F12 still cannot directly read the EFI file on the WWAN drive and boot from it. (as it works for my original NVMe drive. Maybe it should be able to achieve this? I'm not sure.) I haven't tested macOS (Hackintosh with OC) yet and I'll test it later. If it works too, I'll come back and close this issue myself. Finally, thank you again for your contribution to the Hackintosh configuration file of X1C6!

It works. I manually added the OpenCore boot (\EFI\BOOT\BOOTx64.efi in WWAN drive EFI partition) using EasyUEFI (a UEFI editor in Windows), and then it can boot from the WWAN drive now. I'm not sure if I should use this or \EFI\OC\OpenCore.efi, but it works with BOOTx64.efi now, so that's it. ❤️ :)
