Holding nunchuk to player side will make player reload after each shot

If I hold the nunchuk at my side facing down toward the floor while the wiimote is pointed at the screen, it causes me to reload over and over after each shot

I understand this behaves as expected as it is technically a 'button' but does not feel right to me
