High Sierra update #18

Tried the new High Sierra version of Soundflower but it didn't work. Just looks like no noise coming into the soundflower input. Am I doing something wrong, or does the code need a tickle to work with new OS?

Soundflower no longer works for me on Mojave, which I appreciate was not the original issue, but I don't know what its OSS replacement is.

Update on the OS upgrade level - I've got a Catalina machine now with an external sound card (sound blaster X3), and the sound card appears without needing Soundflower to be installed any more. It just presents the sound card as an input source.
