I tired adding the logic to the shared code initially, but:

Printing from the nvim plugin requires a remote call
more importantly, we don't actually inspect the session ID in the shared code. We delegate to a handler passed in by the vim/nvim specific code.

So, the session ID retaining and printing logic is contained in each plugin's code.
