set port number #7

could be nice to be able to override the default port number when initially starting the server. I have more than 1 imac, so in theory it might be useful to be able to choose which one to shut down.

Yeah! This might also help protect oneself through obscurity.

I wouldn't worry much about security, worst thing that can happen is someone on your LAN shutting down your computer.

If you have more than a computer, they should have different IPs. I would create 2 favorites and name them "my imac" and "my pc" to distinguish.

But I think of showing the hostname on the homepage.

I could quickly write a mischievous script that could continuously connect to the exposed port in computers in my LAN, shutting them down repeatedly. That could be crazy! :smile: :hand:
