vertical/multiple cursor/selection support #1166

Open ghost opened 6 years ago

ghost commented 6 years ago

Ctrl+d already selects the current word. It would be great if repetitively pressing Ctrl+d would seelct the next occurrence of that word and place an editing cursor at every such place. Like Sublime Text.

For me this speeds up text editing in many places dramatically, not just coding.

I'm also interested in this feature.

+1, standard multi-cursor/multi-line selection/insertion function (like that in Jupyter) would be super useful when dealing with forms or lists.

eeriksp commented 4 years ago

+1 I would like it to work as it is implemented in VS Code.

acrodrig commented 4 years ago

Oh yes! This would be so nice. I am already doing some sort of bash Literate Programming using Typora and this would come in SO handy. Keep up the good work.

josh-richardson commented 4 years ago

This would be really useful.

This is necessary

Bump

I, too, would greatly benefit from multiple cursor support in Typora—would save a great deal of copying-and-pasting between Typora and VS Code.

PackElend commented 1 year ago

I would love to see it as well, I use column mode selection in Notepad++ soooo often

alcibiadesc commented 1 year ago
