Unable to export to PDF with dark theme

• [x] Searched existing issues to avoid creating duplicates.

  • There are multiple closed issues about this... But I don't think it has been fixed.

• [x] Confirmed that it can be reproduced in built-in themes without customized CSS.

  • I am testing w/ Night theme, and the issue persists.

  If it only exists in 3rd party themes or css, you can still report it, but please attach the theme target or the css file. We may not "fix" it, if it is caused by 3rd party themes or css styles that we cannot support.

  • This also happens to 3rd party themes. And weirdly enough, I was able to export pdf w/ the exact same 3rd party theme back in the day when this app is still in beta...

Describe the bug The app is unable to export markdown to PDF using a dark theme.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Use a dark theme.
2. Export to PDF

Expected behavior Able to export to PDF using the theme I am using.

The macOS version definitely has the issue. See #5416 which was also inexplicably closed. Multiple approaches for addressing the issue are presented there as well.

This is so weird, I have no problem at all on macOS... I have been using Typora for many years and rn I am using Version 1.4.4 (6547), with macOS 12.6.

Alright, I just tested with some themes, it seems although Typora says dark themes are not supported, it still successfully exported the themed PDFs on macOS.

So I guess what you're talking about is a different issue about the warning pop-up.

But on windows, if it says this is not supported, then it prints pdfs with white background.

@KrisCris For handle This problem if you want to have a Dark them pdf You can't directly export , so there is a way i have used many times you can export your content in HTML format then if you have

• chrome
• opera
• .... open inside them and just right click then Save as pdf

you will have a dark them pdf with your main content
