Am I Blocked?

I have confirmed I am not blocked by creating and pushing to my own branch in this current repository.

What I did:

• Pushed and created a branch
• Created a spike regarding the decision to implement MySQL for our database system
• Created a resulting work item from my sprint that estimates the time needed to setup MySQL on local computers to create a platform for our data.

What I plan to do next week:

• Work on learning how to implement and connect frontend, backend, and database systems.
• Researching more on how to use MySQL
• Design a basic mockup for our application
• Determine specific features we want in our application

Currently, I do not have any blocks.

What I did:

• Worked specifically on the database system work item I created last week to successfully download MySQL onto my local computer #14
• Created mockup home pages #18
• Discussed further features our team would like to implement and determined feasibility.
• Created a storyboard for the mood survey feature #16
• Estimated the time for creating a basic homepage with linked pages and created the resulting work item issue #22

What I plan to do next week:

• Creating user profiles and finding what kind of data we want our application to store
• Implement SQL with backend
• Coding the homepage

• Worked specifically on the React work item I created last week to successfully start using Javascript to establish a homepage #22
• Researched how to connect backend to frontend and determined feasibility of features.
• Estimated the time for creating a fully working homepage with linked pages and moved the homepage work item to sprint3 TODO's #22
• Estimated the time for creating a journal entries feature without stored data and created a resulting work item stored in backlog #35
• Estimated the time for creating and implementing a logo onto our site and created a resulting work item stored in backlog #34

What I plan to do next week:

• Link homepage tabs to other pages on our application
• Update homepage design for a cleaner look
• Creating user profiles and finding what kind of data we want our application to store

• Estimated the time for creating a fully working homepage with a user friendly design and complete functionality and moved the homepage work item to sprint4 TODO's #22
• Created a unit test to verify that rendering within my application pages fully worked #41
• Defined an acceptance test #43 for my mood survey user story #3
• Defined a priority 1 and priority 2 test for my mood survey feature in the full test suite issue #44

What I plan to do next week:

• Update homepage design for a cleaner look
• Determine the feasibility of having a fully functioning site with all desired features by talking to Professor Ford in a team meeting
• If possible, start creating a journal entries feature

Am I Blocked?

Currently, I am having trouble connecting and merging my work with my teammates. Working locally from different machines and working separately on backend, frontend, and database aspects prove to be a difficult task.

What I did:

• Worked specifically on the React work item I updated last week to redesign the homepage to match our brainstormed design #22
• Met with Professor Ford to determine the feasibility of desired features for our application
• Estimated the time to create the mood survey feature (without backend connection) and created a resulting work item for sprint 5 #50

What I plan to do next week:

• Determine types of users and how to allow "administrator" user to change quote on homepage.
• Update homepage design for a cleaner look and implement quote.
• Start working on mood survey design #50
• If possible, start creating a journal entries feature

Am I Blocked?

Currently, I am having difficulty with creating the answer option for the survey. I cannot seem to create a response after the user inputs an answer.

What I did:

• Updated the homepage to match the same style as the login and register page #22
• Created content for the survey page and tried to implement an answer feature for every question #50
• Implemented Travis CI to run and successfully pass all tests #59

What I plan to do next week:

• Create a response when the user answers a question in the survey feature #50
• Determine which features to focus on as our project deadline draws closer
• If possible, start creating a journal entries feature
