I've recognized that it sometimes stops functioning while openHAB is restarted.
Even after several openHAB restarts the rrd files are still not modified.
It seems I've been able to resume the rrd4j persistance by redeploying
rrd4j.persistence (by modifying the file).

Does this work now with an update frequency of 50 s or do you still experience
this problem? I have myself now set up charts and it already works stable for a
couple of days (with "everyMinute" strategy).

I think it has worked a lot better. I can recall some gaps in the 1h graphs but
now when I went checking, I recognized that all my rrd4j has stopped logging
6,5 hours ago. The other graph resolutions I've used has worked fine.
I'll restarted and got the rrd4j running again, I'm soon able to report better.

rrd4j seemed yesterday in the evening to leave the same gaps, I was running
22.4. snapshot.
Today I switched to the most recent nightly snapshot, but now I can't get rrd4j
running at all. I have tried the usual tricks (modify & redeploy rrd4j.persist)
and tried to restart openhab, but I've got no rrd4j persistance anymore. No
errors in the log.

I'm running yesterdays nightly build, and I can confirm that the gaps still
shows up in hourly graphs. Day an week periods does not seem to have this issue.

I am seeing this as well. Sometimes after an openhab restart rrd4j logging just
stops and multiple restarts won't resume it. Tried 'touching' the rrd4j config
file - which caused openhab to reload it - and that seems to have kicked things
off again. Thanks for that useful tip!
