Agreed as desirable feature by Change Board 5th July 2024. Requested to be made available for testing and feedback on user interface by end of July. To be held back for next SiteWorks Feature Release (November 2024?)
This is in branch mc-eventseries. How should we make this available for testing?
I've pushed another branch - nt-eventseries - which does the following:
Moves the "Add Event Series" to the u3a Events menu
When the Event Series page is completed, redirect to the u3a Events menu rather than showing the Event Series CPT list (which could be misleading for users)
In the CPT registration, removes the CPT from search results, possible navigation targets, etc with the idea of keeping the CPT hidden
Feedback from test team:
Comments; I can see the feature being used by a few u3as but not the majority. Over-use on all group meetings could cause a lot of clutter if group events switched on but that would be for individual WM’s to decide. Simple errors could cause frustration as they are multiplied.
Overall the feature is straightforward and works as expected.
