I'm pretty sure the live chat has some memory leak, even after years later. You can install HyperChat by LiveTL to fix this problem if you wish
Duplicate of https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/7636
This is not a duplicate of #7636, as this is livestreams just buffering after a certain time rather than scrubbing through videos. When the buffering starts, if i open task manager and force close the highest ram instance of Firefox task in task manager the buffering stops, but i begin to see ads and the ublock UI no longer works when i click the extension. Ads also appear in all other windows even though the ublock extension icon is red showing its enabled, meaning that that task is somehow related to ublock and its function.
Just copy and paste your issue in that thread.
I can only generate a smearing of the audio in relation to the visual track, and it is more likely to be the fault of using Bluetooth (lately, I keep hearing squeaks when I play something and losing sound (for example, from a 6 word sentence, I can't hear most of the words).
To properly blame the chat rather need a HAR log instead of implementing its reading with something else.

Description
When watching youtube livestreams on the Firefox browser over time ublock hogs CPU and RAM from the system causing the video player to lag and constantly buffer. I have seen Firefox take up 12+GB of ram on a high end gaming desktop (Ryzen 5800X, 16GB ram, 3070TI) In task manager when I kill the process using the most resources, RAM usage drops, and the video player plays without buffering but the Ublock origin extension UI stops working, so im pretty sure its Ublock that is the culprit. Issue only shows after a while of watching youtube livestreams for a long period of time (30+ mins). Refreshing does not seem to fix the issue, only closing the entire browser and relaunching it fixes issue. I believe disabling Ublock origin does not cause buffering. After closing the high ram usage process in task manager ads also start showing up on newly opened youtube tabs, also confirming it may be Ublock causing issue.
